Thread Logger

Mesh generation, finite-element analysis, multirun FEA, post processing repeats of FEA data, and post processing request of multi run data are all performed in a separate thread from the main application. During multirun FEA, parallel processing may also be requested. All these are displayed in the Thread logger.

ThreadLogger

The thread logger shows the progress with the solution iteration (BCG or CG) and the Newton iteration to provide an indication of convergence. If multiple threads are running, the pull down menu can be used to switch to another running thread to see its progress. When mesh generation or post processing is running, the histograms are disabled. A few options are available in the options page.

When the close button on the title bar is pressed, the thread logger minimizes and an icon is created in the system tray. The thread logger can be closed completely only after all finished threads are manually deleted from its store. It displays the status of any running threads when the mouse is held on its icon when in the system tray. Clicking on it will maximize the thread logger window.
