Keyboard

Most of the items in the popup menu can be selected by using the keyboard with the ALT key. The same is for most of the property pages and dialog boxes. The TAB key can be used to cycle through the items.

Mouse

The mouse has several uses in Samarium.

In certain dialogs and property sheets, the mouse can be used to bring a popup tool tip when stopped over a control to help identify the parameter.

In Open GL mode-

- double clicking the left mouse button will zoom in

- double clicking the right mouse button will zoom out

- the mouse wheel can also be used for zooming

- moving the mouse over the cross section will provide the x-y coordinates in the x-y position box in the status bar (cross section must be parallel to screen)

- moving the mouse over the cross section will provide the r-θ coordinates in the r-t position box in the status bar (cross section must be parallel to screen)

- clicking and holding down the left mouse button, and moving the mouse allows object rotation

- clicking and holding down the right mouse button, and moving the mouse allows object panning

If rotation is disabled, the mouse can be used to draw a rectangle on the screen and the image in the rectangle is copied to the clipboard

In Data window mode, the mouse can be used to obtain tool tips of the various input/ output parameters
